Vintage Bosch Style 12 Volt VW Blue Coil

Ignition coil for vehicles running 12-volt electrical systems. The ignition coil creates high voltage required by the distributor, which delivers energy to the spark plugs to ignite the air/fuel mixture. The ignition coil is a standard service item and should be replaced if your vehicle is running poorly or experiencing a weak spark.

The coil is rated at 16,000 volts and features the standard 3.4-ohm resistance. The epoxy-filled design allows the coil to be mounted inverted without leaking. Additional power terminals allow the coil to power other electrical accessories. The included 14-gauge mounting bracket is stronger than standard brackets and features a gold zinc rust-preventative coating.

The coil measures 55mm in diameter and features a unique blue body with a brown cap. The bracket retains OE bolt-hole spacing for easy installation.
